Books Read This Past Month
It’s been a prolific reading month. I find that I go through slumps where I don’t have the attention span for literature, but I get back into practice by starting with something that I’d like to think as “compulsively readable.” Meaning, it’s a quick and easy read. The prose is accessible and the plot is structured in a way that forces you through the pages. Meaning, it’s a real page-turner! A book like that retrains my eyes and my mind, and I build stamina. It’s a lot like getting back into shape…but, I haven’t tried that yet.
Within the past month I read:
“A Visit From the Goon Squad” by Jennifer Egan
“Player Piano” by Kurt Vonnegut
“Lunar Park” by Bret Easton Ellis
